First Week of Feburary -

Try to come up with Children's week character ideas that you can dress up as or coordinate with your students.

 

February 2nd - Groundhog Day

Make simple animal shadow puppets and explore a fun shadow science physics activity!

1st Friday in February - National Wear Red Day & Thank your Mailman Day

Write your mailman a Thank You card

 

February 7 - Send a Card to a Friend Day
Have younger students draw picture since writing skills are not fully developed until kindergarten

February 11 - Make a Friend Day & Don't Cry over spilled Milk Day - 

Get all of the children's hands involved while making a friendship tree with finger paint.

​

February 14 - Valentine's Day - 

Heart Puzzles- Have each student create their own puzzle by carefully cutting out sections from paper heart.

​

Week of February 17 - Random Acts of Kindness Week   Heart Puzzles- Make a bingo board with different activities to do. As you do one use  a dobber to make it complete and see who gets theirs done first.

 

Third Monday in February - President's Day

Have an election to see who get to be the president for the day. Ask who the president is? Ask what the president does and then explain briefly his job. Ask what they would do if they were president of their school and write down their answers.

February 20 - Cherry Pie Day​

Make "thumbprint cherries for a tree. Make/eat cherry pies.

February 25 - Tell a Fairy Tale Day

Talk about Fairy Tales and make one up as a class​

February 27 - International Polar Bear Day

Find some Gummy bear science experiment at the www.thesprinkletoppedteacher.com​

February 28 - Rare Disease Day

Explain how people are different yet the same​
